Just a few days left until the break!  Race through a weekend, then it’s Christmas, then just a few minutes later you’ll hear:
“I’m BORED.”
Or you’ll just hear the ridiculous screams of children playing video games or the sounds of your favourite Netflix characters.  It’s time to get out of the house and do all the winter-y things with your family.  Yes, you’ve just spent a small fortune on Here are a few ways to make things cheaper!
Sky Zone is a great place for those rainy BC days.  The kids can jump away the day burning energy inside.  We usually go with friends and you can get a special deal – you can buy 5 for the price of 4, or even 10 for the price of 8. It helps!
Glow Langley is quickly becoming a holiday tradition!  You can sign up on their website for updates and discounts and there is usually a discounted rate for Monday-Thursday.  Of course, you can also WIN tickets through one of our many contests, just keep tryin’.
If you haven’t made it to the brand new Surrey Museum yet, this is your chance.  Check out the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibition!  This is a free outing and appeals to all ages, there’s always something different to see at the Museum and it’s right in the heart of Cloverdale.
Winter break is pretty much made for ice skating, and the arena in Cloverdale turns into a Winter Wonderland over the holidays.  Check the schedule here and hit the ice! Centennial Arena in White Rock is also offering a ton of holiday-themed skates over the break.
If the weather is nice, take a break and check out one of the amazing local parks.  My kids love Hazelgrove Parkour Park as well as the Penzer outdoor park in Langley!  If you’re looking for a nice foresty feeling, definitely go to Redwood Park or Green Timbers.
You can also check out the Surrey Animal Resource Centre!  My daughter loves the Paws to Read program where you can read to the animals.
These are just a few of the things to do and see in our city.  Definitely hit me up on social media if you find a great way to keep kids busy and having fun and spending minimal times on the screens this year!
