Before you start counting down for Christmas Day, enjoy the days leading up to it with Christmas events and activities happening in Surrey! We have various adventures that range in price and cater to all age groups. Get into the holiday cheer and participate in some festive fun! Cost: Varies by event
November 24 |12–7pm | Surrey City Hall Plaza
Join the mayor and council as they flip the switch at 6:30pm to light the city’s spectacular 58-foot Christmas tree. From noon to 7 pm, enjoy the musical performers, festive crafts and activities, stories and rides to kick off the holiday season! Don’t forget to snap a picture with Santa and Paw Patrol!
December 4 | 7:30pm | Surrey Arts Centre
Kick off the Christmas season by enjoying hearing nearly eighty male voices singing in glorious four-part harmony. Join this celebrated choir as the singers get into the spirit of the season with traditional carols.
December 8 | 11-3pm | Historic Stewart Farm
Escape the holiday hustle bustle with an old-fashioned Christmas. Enjoy the Victorian decorated Christmas tree, live music, crafts and tasty treats from the wood burning stove. Don’t forget to also take a photo with Saint Nick between 12:30pm and 2:30pm!
December 8 | 1-4pm | Museum of Surrey
Play old school games, make a vintage decoration and visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Sip free hot chocolate as you bask at our huge textile themed Christmas tree. Do a selfie scavenger hunt for a chance to win $100. While you’re here, take in our various exhibits, such as Dinosaurs Unearthed and the TD Explore Zone.
December 8–15 | Various Times | Various Facilities
Take your picture with Santa and join him for breakfast and a variety of Christmas themed activities! Breakfast, crafts, and games are included in the price. Each person must register individually as a child ($8) or adult ($4).
December 8 – 16 | Various Times | Various Arenas
There’s no better way to get into the holiday spirit than a skate with Santa! Visit your local arena this winter and have your photo taken with the jolly fellow himself. No skates? No problem. We have rentals available for a small fee. Regular admission applies too.

Deck the halls and join us for a variety of holiday inspired special events for seniors! Spread some holiday cheer and invite a friend or two to join the fun.
December 21 | 6:30pm-8:30pm | Fleetwood Community Centre
Join us for a special Christmas themed movie for the whole family. Come dressed in your christmas PJ’s and bring your favourite stuffy. Concession will be available for popcorn and other treats! There will be family activities setup before showtime.
December 21, 2018 to January 7, 2019 | Various Times | Cloverdale Arena
Lace up your skates and enjoy a seasonal skate in Surrey! The arena will be transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with an old fashioned pond. This popular skate is a great way to spend time with your family and friends over the holidays.

Bring your friends and family and join us for a free literary themed Stay & Play.
Surrey Nature Centre at 10am to 2pm
Join us for nature walks, story times and a variety of indoor and outdoor nature activities.
Historic Stewart Farm at 12pm to 3pm
Celebrate Family Day by participating in special activities, heritage demonstrations and sample baking from the woodstove.
Museum of Surrey at 1pm to 4pm
What did families do for fun before TVs and video games? Board games! Spend quality time with your loved ones just like families what have done 100 years ago.
