Gloria Estefan’s 1994 song ‘Everlasting Love’ was one of the Latino singer’s biggest hits but did you know it was covered by four other singers before her?

The original version was recorded in a Motown style by American Singer Robert Knight in 1967. R&B singer Carl Carolton also added his style to the fast-paced, upbeat tune, with Rex Smith and Rachel Sweet doing a duet version in 1981.

To this day it’s one of of a few songs to become a Billboard Hot 100 top 40 hit in the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and 90s!!

The music video for Estefan’s version is full out 90s style with her and her back-up dancers dancing around on stage sporting crop tops, tight rainbow coloured leather pants and BIG hair. Lots and lots of big hair. In fact Estefan sports at least six completely different hair styles in the video – one thing remaining the same – her signature bright red hair!
