Abbotsford Police Department Patrol officers attended the 2900 block of Flagman Place at approximately 7:30 pm last night in response to numerous calls reporting shots fired. The reports were of an individual exiting a residence and allegedly firing a gun at a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled, fortunately no one was injured.
Abbotsford Police Patrol, Emergency Response Team and Crime Reduction Unit officers responded to assist in this investigation. A 43 year old man is in police custody facing firearms related charges.
Abbotsford Police Major Crime Detectives continue to investigate this incident this morning. At this time, it does not appear that this incident is associated to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.
