Abbotsford Police Major Crime Detectives continue speaking to witnesses as they investigate a shooting that occurred on Flagman Place on September 18.

Investigators are aware that as the shooting occurred, two pedestrians were walking east bound on Roundhouse Road at Flagman Place and may have witnessed the shooting.

Investigators would like to identify and speak with those two pedestrians and urge them to call the Abbotsford Police Department’s Major Crime Unit at 604-859-5225 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Incident: Male in custody after shooting incident on Flagman Place

A male is in custody this morning in relation to a shooting incident occurring last night on Flagman Place.

Abbotsford Police Department Patrol officers attended the 2900 block of Flagman Place at approximately 7:30 pm last night in response to numerous calls reporting shots fired.

As officers were on route, a male contacted the APD to report that when he arrived at a residence on Flagman Place, an individual exited the residence and allegedly fired a gun at his vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled and called the police. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Abbotsford Police Patrol, Emergency Response Team and Crime Reduction Unit officers responded to assist in this investigation. A 43 year old man is in police custody facing firearms related charges.

Abbotsford Police Major Crime Detectives continue to investigate this incident this morning. At this time, it does not appear that this incident is associated to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.
