As a small, family-owned radio station in Surrey, BC Pulse FM knows that every little bit counts.

As part of our Pulse FM Cares Initiative, we understand the importance of giving back to our community. We were looking to help out a family in need this Christmas season, so we put a call out to the Surrey Christmas Bureau to see if there was a family in need. They matched us with Michele, a mother of three who became homeless after their house caught fire earlier this year. Not only did Michele lose her job a few years back, she hasn’t been able to get back into the workforce to provide for her children. On top of that her two year old is autistic and requires extra attention and financial assistance that she isn’t able to provide.

Watch the video below of Pulse FM’s Vanessa Ybarra buying food essentials and presents for the family for Christmas Day and hearing the excitement in the mom’s voice.
