Surrey RCMP is investigating a youth stabbing in the area of 147th Street and 83rd Avenue was stabbed.

On Monday, October 22nd at approximately 8pm Surrey RCMP and British Columbia Ambulance Service received multiple 911 calls reporting that a youth had been stabbed.

Surrey Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers attended to the location and located a 16 year old male who had been stabbed. The youth, a resident of Surrey was transported to hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.  Surrey RCMP officers are presently speaking to witnesses, and canvassing the area for possible video surveillance.  Initial information is that a dispute occurred involving a group of youths apparently known to each other and the victim was stabbed, by another youth.  The suspect and several other youths fled from the scene prior to police attendance.

Surrey Royal Canadian Mounted Police is seeking the public’s assistance and are asking that anyone who may have witnessed this assault, or observed persons fleeing from the area at the time, are asked to call the Surrey Royal Canadian Mounted Police at 604-599-0502 or to call Crime Stoppers in reference to Surrey File # 2018-158011.
