Today’s Flashback song came out in 1995 by La Bouche. “Sweet Dreams” topped the Canadian Dance Chart at #1 and made it to #3 on the US Dance Hot Club Chart. The name of the band La Bouche actually means “Mouth” in French if you didn’t know. In 2017, BuzzFeed listed the song at #53 in their list of “The 101 Greatest Dance Songs of the 90’s.” I agree, it’s a great song.

Sadly on the night of November 24, 2001, 34 yr old lead singer Melanie Thornton died in the crash of Crossair Flight 3597 near Zurich Switzerland. Thornton had given her final performance and immediately afterwards had taken the doomed flight for upcoming radio and TV appearances.
