We’ve always wanted to make sure our children are exposed to the arts. Whatever that means.
The Nutcracker is a Christmas tradition for so many. My daughter asked if we could go see it this year. I was worried it would be costly and I’d be battling crowds and such, trying to get out to downtown, find parking, yada yada.
Enter the Surrey Arts Centre! We were in luck as there was a production of the Nutcracker playing at the Surrey Arts Centre by the Royal City Youth Ballet. Children in the arts, even better!
I’m not sure it was exactly what my daughter was expecting but it was lovely, close to home and the price was great.
Be sure to check out all the upcoming plays coming up at the Surrey Arts Centre, including a fun production of Hansel & Gretel (which offers a ‘relaxed’ performance if you have a little one with sensory issues!).
