BC Ferries has cancelled more sailings this week while crews fix damage suffered by one of its vessels during high winds this past weekend.

The ferry operator says the Spirit of British Columbia remains out of service after damaging its rubbing strake while docking in Tsawwassen.

As a result, several sailings between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay have been cancelled today (Monday April 29, 2019) and the 12 p.m. sailing departing Swartz Bay is cancelled tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday.

The Coastal Renaissance has taken over a number of sailings for the damaged vessel. (The Canadian Press)
