Downtown Cloverdale has been identified as a potential site for supportive housing for approximately 60 people.  These homes, part of the City’s joint commitment with the Province of BC to build 250 housing units, would provide housing with 24/7 support for those who are currently or at risk of becoming homeless.  The proposed Cloverdale location in the 5800 block of 176A is owned by the City of Surrey ; it would be leased to BC Housing and be subject to re-zoning approval.

Some Cloverdale businesses have expressed concerns around safety, parking and ease of transit in the area.

A public open house has been scheduled for September 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 at Pacific Community Church.  Questions regarding this project should be directed to BC Housing through email at communityrelations@bchousing.org
