The Surrey Youth Stewardship Squad (SYSS) combines environmental stewardship and leadership in Surrey’s unique urban forest. SYSS enhances our parks through hands-on restoration, education at community events, and other unique projects.

Tools, training and light refreshments are provided. These events are drop in, rain or shine (events may be cancelled in high winds or extreme weather conditions). Stay comfortable by wearing appropriate clothing for winter activities:

  • sturdy, waterproof footwear
  • waterproof outer layer
  • toque or hat

Drop in to an upcoming event, or sign up to be the first to know about new opportunities. Everyone ages 13-17 is welcome to participate – no experience is required. Adults and families are welcome at Nature Work Party events.
