On Air Team

We’ve assembled some of the best and most recognizable voices in Metro Vancouver and we’re bringing them to the South Fraser region’s airwaves. Each of them brings decades of on-air experience with extensive knowledge in music, politics, traffic and news. Several of them are passionate local residents of Surrey and the surrounding cities as well!

Dave Sheldon

Dave is a lifelong Lower Mainland resident and spent a few years of his childhood calling Cloverdale home.

Closing in on 20 years in the media business, Dave started his career in sports, including calling play by play for over 700 games in the Western Hockey League and American Hockey League, taking Dave throughout North America.

Over the past six years, Dave hosted both sports and talk shows on CKNW in addition to anchoring morning sports coverage on NW and Rock 101. Dave also spent a year hosting afternoon drive on 98.7 The Point in Port Moody.

Dave has a special place in his heart for special needs children and in the past ten years Dave has hosted galas and golf tourneys that have raised thousands of dollars for kids with learning disabilities and also children and adults with Autism.

If Dave isn’t at work, head to the golf course, because he is most likely there with his wife Janice, his family and his friends teeing it up. Dave is also a self-professed food nerd.

Dave is married and has two adult sons, Jack and Alex.

Peter Schaad

At 13, Peter told his dad he wanted to be a soccer commentator. 20 years later, that dream became a reality, and he’s still calling games today on radio and TV. What most people don’t know, is the South Delta passport holder (by marriage) is also a huge music nerd and radio geek. Those loves blossomed during a 28 year career with stints in Port Alberni, Victoria and then Vancouver. Now the proud hubby and father of two is ready for his next adventure; hosting “Pulse FM’s Traffic Jamz” from 3-8 weekday afternoons. If you want local, laughter and love music, take Peter Schaad and Pulse FM along for the ride. There will only be minimal back seat driving.
