While we wait for the world to end tomorrow with the legalization of Marijuana, the Liberal Government rather quietly announced they were all but eliminating segregation in federal prisons.
You heard me right, prisoners will no longer be protected from the general population for their own safety or for discipline measures.
The question is, what about those who are in protective custody because they are considered a target by other inmates?
That question I can’t answer. But if legislation passes, life just got a little tougher in federal prisons so best we just stay clear of one altogether.
