Spanking.

A recent poll question via our fb and twitter pages (@pulse1077) we asked you, good listener whether or not you believed in spanking as a form of punishment. A recent article presented research that showed spanking your child, ‘ is related to an increase likelihood of many poor health, social and developmental outcomes.’

They site those who were spanked could be more prone to mental health problems, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts and depression, and various behavioural problems as well.

The argument from many who don’t agree with the finding say kids who were properly punished are rude, narcissistic, and don’t have any fear of law – they don’t have the. “Fear of God in them.”

It’s hard to argue the research that says no to spanking. But it’s also hard to argue that at times it seems like younger generations push the boundaries on what’s acceptable and what’s not, a little too much at times.

I say spank away.
