It’s a program designed to drive youth in a good direction, and get them on the right track.

The NASKARZ or “Never Again Steal Cars” program will be revving up in Surrey in October, in partnership with Surrey Schools and ICBC.

The program is meant for youth who have found a thrill in stealing cars or who are at-risk of stealing them, to get them on a better path by promoting social inclusion through  educational opportunities (which most likely involve fixing up cars).

It was successfully started in 2005 on Vancouver’s East Side, and has helped many vulnerable and at-risk youth there receive mentoring, plus learn new skills in the automotive industry – skills to use for the good of others & themselves.

On Wednesday, September 25th , 2018 at Queen Elizabeth Secondary School in Surrey ICBC presented a $40,000 donation to NASKARZ to get it launched in Surrey next month.
