On Thursday October 11, just before 2:00 p.m., the Surrey RCMP was called to the 6700 block of 130 Street after a report of a shooting. An adult victim was located suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite all their attempts to revive the individual, they succumbed to their injuries.

Police believe this does not appear to be a random act.

The area surrounding the scene is being cordoned off for the investigation. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in and will be working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP.

Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase.
