On January 4th at approximately 3:30am, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 17400 block of 64th Avenue. Police subsequently located a male inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot injuries at that location. The male was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The suspect or suspects fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival. There are no suspect descriptions available at this time.
The investigation is still in its early stages but initial indications are that this is likely a targeted incident. It is too early to determine if this incident is related to drugs or other shootings.
