I used to love swimming at the outdoor pool when I was a kid. I grew up in Richmond so it was the Steveston outdoor pool. It cost $1 or $2, which was probably like $5 in today’s money.
So when I moved to Surrey I was surprised to learn that all the outdoor pools are free!
Some of the outdoor pools in Surrey have already opened for the season – Bear Creek, Greenaway (in Cloverdale) and Sunnyside (in South Surrey). The summer weather may have backed off for a while, but kids love swimming in all weather (and it sure tires them out!).
The Al Anderson pool in Langley also opened in May.
