Cultus Lake is celebrating its 35 anniversary and wants you to come celebrate this amazingly impressive milestone at its waterpark and adventure park!

Chris Steunenberg and his wife purchased the park in 1995 and had a clear vision of what they wanted it to become.

“We came into the park and thought we gotta make this park more family-friendly and great for parents with kids because we had a couple of little kids at the time and that’s where we got our vision and inspiration from,” said Steunenberg.

The couple and their two young kids did “extensive research” visiting other waterslides throughout North America to see how other parks were doing it and how they could take theirs to the next level.

“It takes a family full of slide experts, you might say,” said Steunenberg laughing. “We went out with our family, we’d visit every waterpark we could find and kind of gauge by our own experience on rides which rides were the right to buy and add to our business. We ended up buying family-raft rides and multi-passenger tube rides.”

Credit to the Steunenberg family’s hard work, today Cultus Lake Waterpark has become a staple in the Lower Mainland. Summer just isn’t summer without a trip to the waterslides, with the park now having more than 20-adrenalin filled rides for everyone from young kids to good ol’ gramps to take a whirl on!

Some of their top rides include  the Bazooka Bowls, Valley of Fear, and the Blasters and Twisters

The Valley of Fear

My grandpa’s personal favourite was the Freefall where by the time he got to the bottom he’d made by far the biggest splash in the park!

And good news for slide lovers!

The company is proud to offer extended hours for the rest of summer!

Their waterpark is now  open til 7:30 pm and the Adventure Park is open til 10pm, which means you can hit up the slides all day then cross the street and rip around on the Adventure Park rollercoaster and other rides until late in the evening!

Plus, all waterpark guests automatically receive a 14$ off voucher for the Adventure Park to keep the fun going.

On top of that, ‘Beat the Heat’ happens this Friday, August 2nd and August 16th where the waterslides will be open untli midnight. Slide in the dark and enjoy live entertainment all night long!

“It’s a completely different sliding experience.”
