About 10,000 South Surrey homes were left in the dark over the weekend, due to a substation fault at 32 Avenue and 152 Street.
Intermittent outages were being reported throughout the area by BC Hydro, which was scrambling to correct the problem.
“Crews are responding and continue to investigate the issues we’ve had this weekend,” the power authority said on twitter. “We understand this is frustrating and crews are working to identify and fix the issues as quickly as they can.”
As of posting Monday morning, there were only eight customers without power.
