I had a great time today at the grand opening of the Bose Forest Park in Surrey! The new park is over 7.4 hectares (18.3 acres) and it features extensive pathways, trail networks and great wetland areas as well as social gathering spaces.

Surrey mayor Linda Hepner was on hand and gave a great welcoming speech alongside members of the well known Bose family. A big crowd showed up to the grand opening,  kids were planting trees and taking part in a very cool scavenger hunt.

Once the ribbon was officially cut most of us went to check out the trails. Let me just say the trails are amazing and you feel like you are transported into a different place and time. It’s very lush and green and a great place to take the family and the fur babies as well.

There is also a very cool playground for the young ones that I know will be a fan favourite for many years to come.

The Bose Forest Park is located at 6203 – 164th St.
