The Patullo Bridge is getting some upgrades this month.
It is 80 years old, after all!
The revamp will include new cables, earthquake sensors, and even new a “Warning Light” system.
Basically good for windstorms and other emergencies on the bridge deck.
The bad news is : they’re closing the Patullo Bridge northbound from Surrey to New Westminster almost every night except Fridays and Saturdays till the end of the month (October 2019).
The good news is: These Bridgedeck upgrades only happen in the evening hours from 10pm to 5am.
When you’re most likely asleep.
So smooth sailing on the Patullo for the rest of the day!
