On Tuesday Pulse FM welcomed some of the Surrey school trustee candidates running in next month’s municipal election for day one of our South of the Fraser candidate conversations taking place over next three weeks on Pulse 107.7 FM.

Cindy Dalglish (Surrey Students Now), Rina Diaz (Proudly Surrey), Gary Tymoschuk (Surrey First Education Society) and Niovi Patsicakis (ACT Now Surrey) took part in today’s event (for a full list of Surrey school trustee candidates click here)

Topics in the discussion, moderated by Pulse Morning’s Ian Power, ranged from how trustees plan to decrease or even remove portables in Surrey given it’s a provincial problem, their plans for  improving sexual orientation and gender identity awareness and acceptance in Surrey schools as well what action they would take to ensure recruitment and retention of teachers including French Immersion.
