January is finally over and we’ve pretty much had it with winter! Find out if there will be six more weeks of winter at Newton Business Improvement Association’s Groundhog Day this Saturday, February 3 at the Save-On-Foods in Newton.
The Bear Creek Train is a Surrey classic! The Valentine’s train opens this weekend on Saturday, Febuary 3. For $6 you get a fun and scenic train ride and a Valentine’s craft for your kids. If you haven’t been to the Bear Creek trains, you should check it out. The trains run often – last train is at 4PM.
Zealous Art Parties in the heart of Langley is hosting a Family paint night for ages 7+. These always turn out great and can awaken the artist in any of us, young or old. You’re guided the whole way so even if you don’t think you have an artistic bone in your body, you will come away with a canvas worthy of earning a spot on your wall. (I did one a few years ago but it DID involve some wine so it’s hanging in my bathroom). This will take place on Friday, February 2, from 4:30-5:30.
The Lunar New Year is coming up on February 16 but the Guildford library is hosting a special family fun day this weekend on Saturday from noon to 3:30. There will be face painting, games, crafts and more, and of course this library event is free for everyone!
