I hate to complain about the smoke, because as much as it is annoying for us, it is obviously completely devastating to those in the actual path of the fire.

With that said, let us begin.  This is the second year that the smoke and air quality has affected our summer vibe.  This year has been much worse than last year thanks to my research (aka Facebook Memories).  By this time last year we were back to our regular summer weather, however the rest of the summer is getting forecasted as 19-20C, which is not typically great weather to end off your summer.  Many of us are cramming the last bit of fun and crossing off the summer bucket list items.

The cooler air seemed to bring better air quality to the region.  However, when I got up this morning to see this (see photo), my immediate assumption was “ugh”.  Now I’m told this may just be fog, which I don’t usually see until into mid/late September.  Time will tell if this will be a better week to get outside and enjoy the last few days of summer break.

Have you had to change your plans this summer due to air quality/smoke?
