The colours of fall are so beautiful and yet when I look at them I’m sad because I know they will only last so long. Every year in October we’re treated to a wonderful display of reds, greens and yellows shining brightly from Mother Nature’s branches. What was once a bright green landscape South of the Fraser is suddenly awash in colour, every street and corner a new colour scheme to take in.

Driving along 168th yesterday from Highway 10 to Fraser Highway it was hard to concentrate on the road when there’s so many beautiful hues coming at you. And yet each day as I watch leaf by leaf fall I’m reminded that this too is temporary. All good things, sooner or later must come to an end (call me morbid, I know). Pretty soon the trees will be bare. The days dark grey and the air biting cold.

So, while this fall paradise is here, open your eyes, hug a leaf, and soak it all in!
