If you listen to my radio show you know that I am a HUGE animal lover, yes I can admit it. I have always had a soft spot for animals since I was a little girl. This last Sunday I had the pleasure of hosting the BCSPCA Surrey Education and Adoption Centre’s Paws for a Cause Walk at Sullivan Park. I love doing what I can for animals and when I get a chance to host events that are close to my heart, you know I will be there.
As a radio and former TV host we get asked to MC many events and I always enjoy hosting duties but for me the Paws For a Cause Walk is so much fun because I get the best of both world’s, hosting and helping out animals. Oh I also get to make friends with a bunch of dogs which is awesome, just don’t tell my cats!
I have hosted the walk for the last 3 years and even though this year it rained, a lot of people and their super cute dogs showed up. I was concerned with the on and off rain but they showed up and we had a great time. There was cotton candy, Disney Princesses, dog games, prizes, lots of vendors and a dog friendly beer garden, where do you ever see that?
If you didn’t get a chance to go to the walk this year make sure you come out next year, you would be helping the animals and that is just pawesome!
