Notice things are a little, ‘off’ lately? Strange things happening, having a tough time sleeping…Ever heard of, ‘Waxing Gibbous?.’ Have to be honest, until earlier this afternoon never heard of, ‘Waxing Gibbous.’ Waxing Gibbous has everything to do with the moon. According to earth sky.org, ‘Any moon that appears more than half lighted but less than full is called a gibbous moon. The word gibbous comes from a root word that means hump-backed. People often see a waxing gibbous moon in the afternoon, shortly after moonrise, while it’s ascending in the east as the sun is descending in the west.’ But it’s what happens during this time and during a full moon that has that saying that strange or weird-n-wacky to crazy things happen during a full moon. Waxing Gibbous is the peak of all strange thing s that happen. Scientists say that things like sleep can be affected, more crimes are committed, mood swings, time of the month…All can affected by this Lunar Cycle. So, the next time someone tells you, ‘It must be the full moon”, tell them strait up, ‘Actually it’s, ‘Waxing Gibbous.’ And wait for the reaction!’
